Artist's Statement
Camera is an extension to my epiphanies. I operate in the grey area between the two extremes even though I'm attracted to contrasts. I photograph my subjects both digitally and analogically. My goal is to capture their essence. The most challenging thing in a photography is to transmit a three dimensional atmosphere that requires all senses in a two dimensional form. I admit the absurdity of life because I as well am aiming towards the ideal. I'm interested in contradictions. When I'm approaching my ideas I notice that I pursue subconsciously but also very awarely towards conflict. I draw my resources from adversities or rather from conquering them. Even though I'm frightened by mistakes I still understand their necessity. I'm interested in the moment that exists just before the decision that leads into consequences. I want to question, disassemble the formalities and open up the concepts. A feeling is in a detail. In my works I underline that there is no life without passion towards something. I see life as a series of separate entireties. I aspire to arouse layered interpretations that surprise even myself. Sometimes I'm afraid that I'm going to stumble on my own cleverness.
